We choose most of them ourselves, tracking product launches and search demand to decide what to cover, and no money changes hands for those. A vendor whose tool is not on the site yet can also buy review access at the price published on our Advertise page, which buys an editor's time and nothing else: not a score, not a position, not a verdict.
How we verify data
Every pricing figure, free tier claim, and feature listed on ToolChase is verified directly from the tool's official website. We re-verify every active tool at least monthly. Breaking changes -- price increases, discontinued free plans, major feature launches -- are updated within 48 hours. Each tool page displays a "last verified" date so you always know how fresh the data is.
How we score tools
Almost every tool receives a ToolChase Score, an editorial evaluation across 8 weighted parameters including core product quality (25%), ease of use (15%), value for money (15%), and feature depth (15%). Scores are not crowdsourced or averaged from user reviews. How we write comparisons
Our comparison pages pair tools that compete for the same job. A comparison that helps no one does not get made. Every comparison includes verified pricing for both tools, honest pros and cons, specific "choose this if" recommendations, and a clear verdict. Verified comparisons display a date badge showing when data was last confirmed.
How often we update
The AI tools landscape changes weekly. We run a full pricing and feature audit across all tools monthly. High-traffic tool pages and comparisons are checked more frequently. New tools are added as they reach meaningful adoption. Our blog covers major launches and changes as they happen.

Our Story
ToolChase started with a simple frustration: finding reliable AI tool information was harder than it should be. Existing directories were cluttered with tools that had bought their rankings, fabricated review counts, and comparisons between products that had nothing in common. We built ToolChase to be the directory we wished existed -- one that treats accuracy as non-negotiable and puts the reader's needs ahead of vendor relationships.

Every number on this site is verified, every score follows our published methodology, and every page is updated regularly. We are still early, but the mission has not changed: be the most trustworthy AI tool resource on the web.
How We Make Money
Transparency matters. Here is exactly how ToolChase earns revenue:
We earn commissions when readers click affiliate links to some tools and sign up for paid plans, and we sell clearly labeled sponsorships such as Featured Partner placements and sponsored guides. Neither influences our rankings, scores, or editorial recommendations. Scores are produced before any commercial conversation, and nobody on the commercial side sees one before it publishes or has a route to change one after. Every paid item is labeled where a reader will see it.
What we do not do: We do not accept payment for a higher score, a better ranking, or a positive review. We do not run display ads. We do not sell user data. A paid partner can appear inside a ranked guide, at whatever position its score and its fit earn, and the relationship is disclosed at the entry where a reader meets it, not only in a footer. If a tool earns a high score, it is because it performed well in our evaluation, not because it pays us.

Can I suggest a tool to review?
Not as a free suggestion. Our editorial team looks at every request first and declines tools that are not a fit for ToolChase, so a listing is never guaranteed. If we select your tool, the Editorial Review is a one-time $300 fee, charged only then, covering a full review page. The fee pays for the review work, never the score, the verdict or a ranking, and the review page says that it was paid for. Use the contact form and choose Editorial Review. Do you remove a tool if it stops paying or takes down a badge?
No. Review pages are editorial and stay live whether or not a tool pays, renews anything, or keeps a badge. A Featured Partner placement comes down when its term ends, and the review page and score stay exactly as they were. A page changes only when the facts change: we correct factual errors within 48 hours, and a tool that shuts down moves to our discontinued list.
Do you accept sponsored content or paid reviews?
Yes, clearly labeled, and never in exchange for a score or a ranking. Some tools run a Featured Partner placement or sponsor a guide, and every one of those is labeled as sponsored at the entry, with paid links clearly marked as sponsored so search engines do not read them as editorial endorsements. What money cannot buy is the verdict: ToolChase Scores and rankings are set by our editorial team on merit using our published methodology, and a sponsor is scored on exactly the same framework as everyone else.
