Best Phrasly.ai Alternatives in 2026
Phrasly.ai is an AI humanizer: you paste machine-written text, it rewrites the prose, and the same vendor's free detector grades the result on the next screen. Its pricing page sells one consumer plan, Unlimited, at $10.99 a month billed annually, with 5,000 words per process and no monthly word budget, above a $2.00 one-time product called 3 Day Access. It scores 3.4/5 with us, a low score, and the reasons people shop around are structural: the price shape suits heavy use and punishes light use, the free allowance is thin, the vendor selling the rewrite also sells the detector that marks it, and plenty of readers want a writing tool rather than a humanizer. The five below cover all four exits.
Why look for Phrasly.ai alternatives?
Start with what Phrasly does better than the rest of this cluster, because for heavy users the answer is to stay put.
- → Flat pricing in a category that meters almost everyone. $10.99 a month billed annually buys unlimited humanizations with no monthly word budget
- → The AI detector is free and needs no account, which much of this category meters or gates
- → Phrasly publishes a dated benchmark: 15 September 2026, 72 texts, the MIT-licensed AI Text Detection Pile dataset, judged by Pangram's pangram-4, with three rivals scored in the same table. It is still a vendor grading itself and coming first, but most of this category publishes no method at all
And the reasons people still leave, all of them readable on the vendor's own pages.
- → The detector that tells you the rewrite worked is sold by the company that sold you the rewrite, on the same screen. That is the defining problem of the category rather than a quirk of this vendor
- → There is one consumer plan on the pricing page. Rewrite a few thousand words a month and you pay for capacity you will not touch, while the metered plans below open at $4.99 and $5.00 a month billed annually
- → The ongoing free allowance is thin: three guest humanizations at up to 500 words each, shared across the site's guest pages, against ToHuman's 2,500 words a month free with no credit card
- → The cheap way in is a paid door, not a free trial. 3 Day Access is a $2.00 one-time charge capped at 800 words per process against the plan's 5,000, and it converts into a subscription. Read the checkout screen
- → The vendor cannot keep its own discount straight. The pricing page shows a “SAVE 45%” badge beside annual billing while the homepage says “you'll save up to 60% compared to paying monthly.” Same site, same day

How they compare to Phrasly.ai
Four of the five are humanizers like Phrasly and one is not, which is the most useful line here. Every figure below is in US dollars with the billing basis stated.
Undetectable AI · 3.6/5
Best for the cheapest metered plan with a documented API.
Undetectable AI is the closest thing here to a like-for-like swap, including the conflict of interest: it is a humanizer sold beside the free detector that grades it. What differs is the meter and the controls. Billing is by humanized word rather than flat, and every price is published without a login. Ten thousand words a month is $9.99 on monthly billing, or $5.00 a month billed annually, charged as $60.00 for the year. Twenty thousand is $19.00 monthly or $9.50 a month annually, $114.00 for the year. Thirty-five thousand is $31.00 monthly or $15.75 a month annually, $189.00 for the year, and the ladder runs on to 50,000 words. Controls go deeper than most of this cluster bothers with: readability from High School up to Doctorate, purpose presets including Essay, Cover Letter and Legal Material, and three strengths. Signed out you get the Basic Public Model, above which the vendor's own interface warns that detectors might still flag your text, and the free trial is capped at 250 words. The arithmetic that decides it is ours: Phrasly's flat $10.99 a month billed annually sits between Undetectable's 20,000-word and 35,000-word annual tiers, so under roughly 20,000 words a month Undetectable is cheaper, and above it Phrasly is.
QuillBot · 4.6/5
Best for editing your own writing rather than laundering a machine's.
QuillBot is the entry that does a different job, and it is here because many people searching for a Phrasly alternative do not want a humanizer at all. It is a four-tool writing suite: a paraphraser with nine or more modes, an AI humanizer with Basic and Advanced modes, a free AI detector, and Flow, an editor that runs all of it in one window, plus grammar checking, summarizing, citations and plagiarism checks. The free tier is unusually generous: the AI detector is unlimited with no signup, and the free paraphraser runs at 125 words per run on Standard and Fluency modes. Premium lists at $8.33 a month billed annually, $99.95 for the year, or $19.95 month to month, with a promotional first-year rate of $4.17 a month billed annually running on QuillBot's own site. It scores 4.6/5, the highest on this page, and not because it humanizes better: a broad, well-documented writing tool that happens to include humanizing does not rest its whole value on a claim nobody outside the vendor can check. Its own review names the trade-off: aggressive paraphrasing can shift your meaning, and some universities ban AI-paraphrased work outright.
ToHuman · score pending
Best for a rewrite step inside a pipeline.
ToHuman is the pick when the rewriting belongs in a workflow rather than a browser tab. It is also the one tool here without a published ToolChase score yet, so read this entry as description rather than ranking. It documents integrations for n8n, Make, Zapier, LangChain, CrewAI and AutoGen plus an MCP server, and it puts API access on the free plan, which most of this category reserves for paying customers. Free is $0 forever: 2,500 words a month, every humanization intensity, document history and API access at 60 requests a minute, no credit card. Pro is $19 a month for 100,000 words and 300 requests a minute. A $9 one-off word pack adds 50,000 words that never expire and needs no subscription, the cleanest way here to buy a fixed amount of rewriting and stop. The vendor also states its model is self-hosted and that submitted text is not passed to a third-party provider; that is its claim, reported rather than confirmed by us. On raw volume ToHuman is not the pick, because $19 a month for 100,000 words is more than Phrasly's $10.99 a month billed annually with no word budget at all. It wins on the free tier, the subscription-free word pack, and being callable from software you already run.
GPTinf · 3.3/5
Best for the cheapest paid plan to judge output for yourself, if you read the toggle.
GPTinf is the cheapest paid entry here and the one that most rewards careful reading. Lite is $9.99 a month on monthly billing, or $4.99 a month billed annually, charged as $59.99 for the year, for 5,000 humanizer words a month. Pro is $24.99 monthly or $12.49 a month billed annually for 25,000 words, and Unlimited lifts the humanizer word cap at $59.99 monthly or $29.99 a month billed annually, $359.99 for the year. The rewriter runs eight modes and the vendor states mode choice is not plan-gated, so a Lite subscriber gets the same eight as an Unlimited one. The free AI detector needs no account and carries no word limit, though GPTinf's own help center says the text is scored by eight underlying third-party services rather than by GPTinf. Two cautions come from its review: the pricing page opens on annual billing and prints the suffix “/monthly” under the annual rate, with annual totals published only in the help center, and the refund window is three days. Note too the comparison that matters here: if uncapped rewriting is the point, GPTinf's Unlimited is $29.99 a month billed annually against Phrasly's $10.99.
StealthGPT · 3.4/5
Best for a short, dated deadline rather than a standing subscription.
StealthGPT is the bluntest product in this group and the one that will sell you a single week. Pro is $6.99 billed weekly for 12,500 words a week, $29.99 a month for 50,000 words a month after a first month advertised at $1.00, or $299.99 billed yearly. Max is $19.99 billed weekly for 50,000 words a week, $49.99 a month for 200,000, or $499.99 billed yearly, and it adds three teammate seats. A pay-as-you-go API sells Standard-model words at $0.20 per 1,000, which the vendor states never expire. The cap that will bite is per request rather than per period: 1,000 words in a single call on Pro and 2,000 on Max, so a 4,000-word essay on Pro is four calls you stitch back together, against 5,000 words per process on Phrasly. It is also the vendor least interested in framing any of this. The homepage headline is “The AI Humanizer that actually works” and a line under the plan cards reads “We beat every AI Detector,” while its own pages put the bypass rate at 99% in one place and the flagship model at 89% against Pangram V4 in another, neither figure carrying a methodology, a sample size or a date.
Which one to pick
- → QuillBot if what you actually need is a writing tool. It scores 4.6/5, the highest here, Premium lists at $8.33 a month billed annually, and its value does not rest on a claim nobody outside the vendor can check
- → Undetectable AI if you rewrite under roughly 20,000 words a month and want the cheapest metered plan with a documented API: $5.00 a month billed annually for 10,000 words a month
- → ToHuman if the rewrite belongs in n8n, Make, Zapier or an MCP client, or if you want 50,000 words for a $9 one-off and no subscription at all
- → GPTinf if you want the cheapest paid plan to judge the output yourself: $4.99 a month billed annually for 5,000 words a month. Switch the toggle to Monthly first, because the page opens on annual
- → StealthGPT if the need is one week long: $6.99 billed weekly for 12,500 words, with no month to cancel
- → Stay on Phrasly.ai if you rewrite at volume and do not want to count words. $10.99 a month billed annually with no word budget and 5,000 words a process is the cheapest uncapped plan here; the other uncapped plan, GPTinf's Unlimited, is $29.99 a month billed annually
- → None of them for graded academic work. Phrasly's ethics page and Undetectable AI's both rule it out, and the policy that decides the outcome belongs to the institution, not to the tool
