What is Lovable?
Lovable is a full-stack AI development platform. You describe what you want in plain language, and it generates a working web app, including the front end, backend, database, authentication and integrations, all backed by editable code. You build by chatting, in Build mode (Lovable implements and verifies changes) or Plan mode (it helps you plan before any code is written), and a preview toolbar lets you select elements, edit text inline or draw annotations. New apps created since May 13, 2026 use TanStack Start with server-side rendering; older apps use React and Vite. The built-in backend, Lovable Cloud, runs on Supabase's open-source foundation and provides a database, authentication, storage and edge functions, or you can connect your own Supabase project. Projects sync two ways with GitHub, GitLab or Bitbucket, and Lovable says you own the code and can host it outside Lovable. Apps publish to a lovable.app address on every plan; custom domains need a paid plan.
What is Wix AI?
Wix AI is ToolChase's name for the AI tools built into the Wix website platform. The headline tool is Wix Harmony, which Wix launched on January 21, 2026 and calls its new flagship AI website builder. You describe a site to Aria, Harmony's AI agent, which can generate pages, sections, text, images and custom components, and then you adjust any detail by drag and drop. Harmony is included on every Wix plan, including the free plan, and Wix says it adds three more AI agents at no extra cost: Kleo for marketing and SEO, Juno for customer service and Omni for inventory. Around the editor sits Wix's business platform: eCommerce, scheduling, blogs, payments, a CRM, email marketing and SEO tools, all hosted by Wix. On the other hand, Wix's developer docs say Harmony doesn't support site code beyond HTML, JavaScript and CSS snippets, and Wix's help center says a Wix site must run on Wix's servers. Lovable prices by credits per workspace, not by seat, and every plan allows unlimited members. Free gives 5 build credits a day, capped at 30 a month, plus monthly grants of 20 Cloud credits and 4 AI credits, and up to five lovable.app addresses. Pro costs $25/month billed monthly, or $250 a year ($21/month) billed annually, for 100 monthly credits, with tiers up to 10,000 credits. Business costs $50/month billed monthly, or $500 a year ($42/month) billed annually, for 100 credits and adds SSO, role-based access and internal publishing. Enterprise is custom. Paid plans roll unused credits over and allow top-ups. Lovable's own examples price a small styling edit at 0.50 credits and a landing page with generated images at 1.70.
Wix prices per site. Free includes the Harmony editor and publishes on a Wix subdomain (username.wixsite.com/sitename) with Wix branding and 500 MB of storage. Premium plans are monthly prices on yearly subscriptions paid in full: Light $17, Core $29, Business $39 and Business Elite $159. Each connects a custom domain and removes Wix branding, and most yearly plans include a one-year voucher for a new domain bought from Wix. Wix notes that prices vary by location, taxes are extra, other subscription periods are available and premium plans carry a 14-day money-back guarantee.
What the entry paid plan buys. Lovable Pro unlocks custom domains, removal of the 'Edit with Lovable' badge, code editing and download, and built-in payments. Wix Light connects your domain and removes branding, with 2 GB of storage, but Wix's plan comparison lists accepting payments as not included in Light; that starts on Core.
Worked example. A five-person team wants one site on its own domain that takes online payments. On Lovable, one Pro workspace covers all five people for $25/month billed monthly ($300 a year) or $250 a year billed annually, since Lovable does not charge per seat; if Pro's 100 monthly credits and 5 daily build credits run short, the 200-credit tier is $50/month billed monthly.
