Argil's core workflow is simple: you record a 2-minute training video of yourself on camera, upload it to the platform, and within a few hours Argil generates a realistic AI clone that can deliver any new script you type. The clone captures your facial expressions, voice, head movement, and general presentation style. Once trained, you can generate unlimited short clips without ever recording yourself on camera again.

For short-form creator content, Argil is arguably better than HeyGen, it's optimized specifically for 30-90 second clips used on TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. The avatar training is faster, the output is tuned for vertical video, and pricing starts lower. HeyGen has a larger stock avatar library and more customization, making it stronger for business use. Argil is the better specialist tool for solo creators.

After uploading your 2-minute training recording, Argil typically trains your clone within a few hours (sometimes under an hour during off-peak times). Once trained, generating a new 30-second clip from a script takes 2-5 minutes depending on queue length. This means you can record yourself once, then generate weeks of content from the same clone without ever being on camera again.
