Best SocialBee Alternatives in 2026
SocialBee is a social media scheduler built by SocialBee LABS SRL, part of WebPros, and organized around content categories. You sort posts into buckets such as tips, promotions or blog links, give each bucket its own posting schedule, and SocialBee fills the calendar from them, resharing evergreen posts and expiring the time-sensitive ones. People still shop around, and usually for three specific reasons: there is no free tier, the entry plan is $29 a month, and the two cheapest plans carry one user and one workspace. The five alternatives below are worth weighing partly because each one charges on a different unit: per channel, per seat, per social set, per brand and per social account.
Why look for SocialBee alternatives?
Start with what SocialBee genuinely does well, because for a good number of readers the answer is to stay where they are.
- → Category-based scheduling is the product, not a bolt-on. Each bucket gets its own slots, and evergreen posts recycle while dated ones expire on a date or after a set number of shares
- → Unlimited AI content generation is listed on every plan, including the $29 Bootstrap tier, alongside the Copilot assistant that drafts a strategy from your website
- → Pricing is flat and predictable. $29, $49 or $99 a month covers a fixed bundle of profiles, so the bill does not move when you add another network
- → The trial is 14 days with no card required, and SocialBee advertises a 30-day money-back guarantee on top of it
- → Direct publishing covers Facebook, Instagram, Threads, X, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Google Business Profile, TikTok, YouTube and Bluesky, with a social inbox for mentions, comments and messages
And the reasons people still leave, all of them from the live pricing table.
- → There is no free plan. The pricing page lists Bootstrap, Accelerate, Pro and the three Agency tiers, and the only free route in is the trial
- → $29 a month, or $290 a year billed annually, is a high floor for 5 profiles when four of the five tools below have an entry price under $21 a month
- → Bootstrap and Accelerate both include 1 user per workspace and 1 workspace. Team work starts at Pro, $99 a month or $990 a year billed annually, which brings 3 users per workspace and 5 workspaces
- → Growth is charged as add-ons. On monthly billing an extra user or workspace is $10 a month and 5 more profiles are $15 a month, or $100 and $150 a year on yearly billing
- → Analytics history on Bootstrap is 3 months. Accelerate at $49 a month and Pro at $99 a month hold 2 years
- → Content categories are capped below the top tier: 10 on Bootstrap, 50 on Accelerate, unlimited only on Pro. If categories are the reason you are here, the cheap plan is the one that constrains you

How they compare to SocialBee
Each one wins on a different axis, and all five score above SocialBee's 4.1/5. Skim the highlights or click through for the full review.
Buffer · 4.3/5
Best for paying only for the channels you actually post to.
Buffer is the answer to the two complaints that send most people off SocialBee: the missing free tier and the $29 floor. Its free plan is listed as a plan rather than a trial, and connects up to 3 channels with 10 scheduled posts per channel, a single user account and the AI Assistant. Paid plans bill per channel: Essentials is $5 per channel per month billed yearly, which the pricing page states as $60 a year for one channel, and Team is $10 per channel per month billed yearly, $120 a year for one channel, adding unlimited team members, approval workflows and custom access levels. Our Buffer review records the month-to-month rates as $6 and $12 per channel, and a 14-day free trial covers the paid plans. Against SocialBee the shape is clear: five channels on Essentials works out at $25 a month on yearly billing against $29 for Bootstrap's 5 profiles, while ten channels reaches $50 against $49 for Accelerate's 10 profiles. What you give up is the thing SocialBee is built for. Our Buffer review describes a queue-based scheduler with lighter analytics, no unified social inbox for managing comments and DMs across platforms, and no social listening on any plan. If you want a genuinely free starting point and a bill that tracks the number of accounts you run, Buffer is the pick.
Hootsuite · 4.2/5
Best for listening, governance and approvals at scale.
Hootsuite is the move when social has stopped being a scheduling problem and become a governance one. Its plans page lists Standard at $99 per user per month billed annually with 10 social accounts, Professional at $199 per user per month billed annually with unlimited social accounts, Advanced at $399 per user per month billed annually, and Enterprise at custom pricing, with a 14-day free trial. Our Hootsuite review records that the free plan was discontinued in March 2023. What the money buys, per our Hootsuite review, is a unified social inbox for comments, DMs and mentions across every connected network, OwlyWriter AI for drafting, sentiment analysis, multi-level approval workflows, competitive benchmarking, and social listening beyond your own profiles. Against SocialBee the trade is stark in both directions. SocialBee's $99 Pro tier carries 25 profiles, 3 users per workspace and 5 workspaces for the same headline number Hootsuite charges for one seat on Standard, and our review notes each extra Hootsuite seat is billed at the full plan rate. The per-seat model is also why it scales where SocialBee does not, with unlimited social accounts from Professional up. Its review is blunt about the downsides too: a cluttered interface and a steeper learning curve. Pick Hootsuite when a communications team, not a marketer, owns the accounts.
Later · 4.3/5
Best for Instagram and TikTok-led creators and DTC brands.
Later sells a different unit again: the social set, a bundle of 8 profiles, one per platform. Starter is $18.75 a month billed yearly for 1 social set, 1 user, 30 posts per profile per month and 5 AI credits a month; Growth is $37.50 a month billed yearly for 2 social sets, 2 users, 180 posts per profile per month and 50 AI credits; Scale is $82.50 a month billed yearly for 6 social sets, 4 users, unlimited posts and 100 AI credits. The pricing page prices in USD and notes applicable taxes are extra, offers a 14-day trial, and does not list a free plan. The draw is visual planning: a drag-and-drop calendar with an Instagram grid preview, the AI Caption Writer inside the composer, and the Link in Bio page bundled into paid plans rather than sold separately. That is the axis on which Later beats SocialBee outright. Two things to weigh. Our Later review records that X (Twitter) is no longer on its list of supported platforms, which matters because SocialBee publishes to X directly. And Later meters AI by credits where SocialBee advertises unlimited AI content generation on every plan, so heavy drafting is cheaper on SocialBee. Later is the pick when the feed itself is the product.
Metricool · 4.2/5
Best for running several brands and sending client reports.
Metricool prices by brand, where a brand is one business or client, and that single decision is why freelancers and small agencies end up on it. There is a real free plan: 1 brand, every network except LinkedIn and X, up to 20 scheduled posts a month, 5 competitor profiles, 30 days of analytics and the AI assistant. Starter runs from $20 a month billed annually for up to 5 brands, Advanced from $53 a month billed annually for up to 15 brands, and a Custom tier is quoted; annual billing is advertised as saving up to 24%, and the pricing page states prices do not include applicable VAT. AI credits are allocated per brand per month, 20 on Starter and 35 on Advanced. The reason to move is reporting rather than posting: Metricool puts ad accounts next to organic posts, tracks competitors, exports PDF and PPT reports on a schedule, and adds a Looker Studio connector and an API on Advanced, none of which appears on SocialBee's own feature list. Two cautions from our Metricool review: X needs a $10 a month add-on per connected account, and LinkedIn requires a paid plan. Against SocialBee, the trade is evergreen automation for measurement. If your clients judge you on a monthly deck rather than on posting cadence, Metricool is the stronger buy.
Publer · 4.2/5
Best for recycling evergreen posts on the smallest possible bill.
Publer is the closest thing here to SocialBee at a fraction of the price, because post recycling is on its feature list too. Its free plan is free forever and covers 1 user, 1 workspace, up to 3 social accounts excluding X, up to 10 scheduled posts at a time per social account, 25 saved drafts and 24 hours of post history. Paid plans are priced per social account and scale with the accounts and extra members you select: Publer's help center states the Professional plan starts at $5 a month and the Business plan starts at $10 a month, with yearly billing 20% cheaper than paying monthly, and the pricing page notes that for every 9 social accounts the 10th is free. Business is the tier that matters against SocialBee, since it is where unlimited AI prompts, analytics and reports, best times to post, competitor analysis and post recycling live. Network coverage is the other draw: our Publer review lists Mastodon, Bluesky, Telegram and WordPress alongside the majors. The honest gap is structure: our Publer review lists post recycling and RSS automations, but not the per-category schedules SocialBee is organized around, and it notes that X requires a paid plan and that costs climb with every account and team member you add. On price per account, Publer is the cheapest credible route off SocialBee.
Which one to pick
- → Buffer if you want a free plan you can stay on and a bill that grows one channel at a time. It scores 4.3/5, the joint highest here
- → Publer if budget is the binding constraint, or if you publish to Mastodon, Bluesky, Telegram or WordPress. Business at $10 a month per social account is the tier to compare
- → Metricool if you run several brands or clients and the monthly report is the deliverable. Per-brand pricing beats per-seat pricing for freelancers
- → Later if Instagram and TikTok are the business and you plan the grid before the caption
- → Hootsuite if you need social listening, sentiment analysis and multi-level approvals, and a team budget exists to pay $99 per seat per month billed annually
- → Stay on SocialBee if the category-per-schedule model is the thing you are actually buying, if evergreen rotation with expiry dates is doing real work for you, or if unlimited AI content generation on a $29 plan is what keeps the cost down
