Dia

4.2/5Last verified: September 2026

A calm Mac browser from The Browser Company, with AI that works across your tabs and tools.

What Dia is

Dia is a web browser from The Browser Company of New York, the team behind Arc. As a browser it focuses on order: profiles, tab groups, split view, picture-in-picture, a built-in ad and tracking blocker, and cross-device sync. Its AI layer, Ask Dia, answers questions about any page and can pull context from the tools you connect, which Dia describes as Slack, Notion, your calendar and Google Workspace.

The AI features are paid. The free Better Browser plan has no AI at all; Better Answers adds Ask Dia and chat across your tools, and Better Days adds six times the usage plus a daily Morning Brief, recaps and polished reports and decks. Usage is metered in Tasks, and Dia runs on macOS 14 or later on Apple silicon only.

Where Dia is the strongest pick

Knowledge work on a Mac where the answers you need are spread across tabs, documents and team tools: a morning summary of your calendar and inbox, meeting prep, and turning scattered notes into a report or deck.

Pricing

Dia has a free browser tier with no AI features and two paid AI plans. Every new user gets a 14-day free trial of Better Days with no credit card required; when it ends, Dia keeps working as a free browser and the AI features pause.

  • Better Browser: Free. Profiles and tab groups, split view and picture-in-picture, built-in ad and tracking blocker, cross-device sync. No AI features.
  • Better Answers: $20 a month. Ask Dia on any page, chat with context from all your tools, and models that do not store your data.
  • Better Days: $100 a month. Everything in Better Answers with six times the tasks and chats, a daily Morning Brief, reports, decks and recaps, and meeting prep and follow-up.
  • Extra usage: Sold in $20 credit blocks, by auto-reload or one-time top-up. Plan allowances reset monthly; bought credits roll over for up to three months.

Does Dia work on Windows?

Not generally yet. Dia's download page lists macOS 14 or later on Macs with an M1 chip or newer.

Who makes Dia?

Dia is designed and built by The Browser Company of New York, the company behind the Arc browser.

What happens when the Dia trial ends?

If you have not chosen a plan, Dia keeps working as a free browser and its AI features pause until you upgrade.
