What is Superhuman?

Superhuman is a premium email client engineered for speed, designed to help power users process email twice as fast as with Gmail or Outlook. Founded by Rahul Vohra in 2014, Superhuman built its reputation on sub-100ms response times, keyboard-driven workflows, and a minimalist interface that strips away clutter to focus on rapid email triage. It supports both Gmail and Outlook accounts and works across Mac, Windows, iOS, and Android.

Grammarly acquired Superhuman in 2025, and Superhuman is now also the name of the wider suite that includes Mail, Grammarly, Docs and the Go AI agent. Superhuman Mail is still sold on its own through the Mail plans, and it is also part of the suite's Business and Enterprise plans.

The AI capabilities have expanded considerably since the acquisition. Auto Drafts (launched October 2025) automatically writes follow-up emails based on thread context and your writing style. Auto Labels classifies incoming emails into categories without manual rules. Split Inbox organizes mail into customizable streams, VIP, newsletters, notifications, team updates, so you see what matters first. AI-powered instant summaries let you scan entire threads in seconds, and AI drafting writes replies that match your tone and voice. Read statuses show when recipients open your messages, and Snippets provide templated responses with dynamic variables for repetitive emails.

Superhuman's Business plan bundles AI writing assistance, CRM integrations (HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive), and an AI agent into one subscription. The target audience remains executives, founders, sales leaders, and anyone processing 100+ emails daily who values speed over price.

Superhuman Pricing

Superhuman Mail is sold on its own from the Starter plan, and its Business and Enterprise plans are shared with the wider Superhuman suite (Mail, Grammarly, Docs and Go). Mail has no free plan: the suite's free plan covers Grammarly, Docs and Go only.

• Starter, $30/user/mo (monthly) or $25/user/mo (annual): Superhuman Mail on its own: email productivity features such as Split Inbox, keyboard shortcuts, read statuses, scheduled send, snippets and undo send, plus Superhuman AI, team collaboration, calendar and scheduling, and unified admin and billing.
• Business, $40/user/mo (monthly) or $33/user/mo (annual): Everything in Starter plus Superhuman's most advanced AI, Auto Drafts, Ask AI, custom auto labels, the Superhuman Mail MCP and CRM integrations with HubSpot, Salesforce and Pipedrive. On the suite's pricing page the same Business plan also includes Grammarly, Docs and the Superhuman Go agent. Teams of 5 or more get 15% off on annual billing.
• Enterprise, custom pricing: Everything in Business plus admin security and controls, single sign-on, a Customer Success Manager, team analytics and priority support.

Note: Starter is the Mail-only plan. Business bundles Mail with Grammarly, Docs and Superhuman Go at the same price. Annual billing saves about 17% compared with monthly.
